Our worked examples use fictional Aarav Sharma: 15 August 1991, 06:40, Jaipur, India. Vedic examples use Lahiri sidereal and whole-sign houses. Western examples use the tropical zodiac. The dated report sample is from 30 September 2026.

A map of life topics

The houses describe areas of experience. In a whole-sign chart, the rising sign is house 1 and the next sign is house 2. Aarav’s fictional sample rises in Leo, so Virgo is his 2nd, Libra his 3rd and Cancer his 12th. Placidus divides houses differently; do not carry house numbers between the two methods.

All twelve in order

1: self and approach. 2: resources and speech. 3: skills, siblings and everyday communication. 4: home and foundations. 5: creativity and learning. 6: routines, service and challenges.

7: partnership. 8: shared resources and change. 9: study, teachers and meaning. 10: work and public responsibility. 11: networks and aspirations. 12: retreat, rest and letting go. These are traditional themes, not promises of events.

Count it yourself

Start at Leo as 1, count Virgo as 2, then Libra as 3. Aarav’s Libra Moon is therefore in house 3 in this whole-sign chart. A useful question is whether communicating or practising a craft supports his emotional balance. Without an exact birth time, withhold this house claim.
