A thoughtful foundation

Observation first.
Interpretation second.

A reading should help you understand where its information comes from, what it means, and where its limits are.

Tested for accuracy

Every chart is calculated by the advanced iAstroGuru Engine and tested for accuracy against trusted references. You can check the results yourself: here are three fictional births and three Panchang checks, compared with trusted reference results.

Tested for accuracy against trusted references (Lahiri ayanamsa). Tolerance: grahas and Lagna within 1 arc-minute (one-sixtieth of a degree); nakshatra, pada and tithi identical.

Vedic and Western charts

Vedic / Jyotish is selected by default, with the Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa. Your saved readings and every report use the Vedic chart with whole-sign houses: each house is one complete sign, counted from your Lagna, as Jyotish has always done.

The free Western birth chart uses the tropical zodiac and, by default, Placidus houses, which divide the sky by the time each part takes to rise, so houses can be unequal in size. You can switch it to Whole Sign. This setting applies only to the Western chart page and never changes your saved Vedic readings. Because the two traditions measure the zodiac differently, a planet can appear in a different sign or house in each.

Moon sign and nakshatra. Your Rashi, nakshatra and pada. When the birth time is unknown, every sign and nakshatra the Moon occupies that day is shown, rather than one guess.

Kundli matching. The North Indian Ashtakoota method with its eight kootas worth 36 points. A score is a traditional guide, never a decision about a relationship.

Dosha check. Eleven doshas, each with its traditional rule written out: Mangal, Kaal Sarp, Pitra, Guru Chandal, Grahan, Shrapit, Angarak, Vish, Kemadruma, Gandmool and Sade Sati or Dhaiya. We say which come from the classical texts and which from later traditions.

Gemstones. The classical Lagna method, with the stones to avoid listed too. Traditional guidance only, never a prescription, and we sell nothing.

Panchang and Rashifal. Tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana at local sunrise with their end times, Rahu Kaal, Yamaganda, Gulika and Abhijit; the daily Rashifal reads where the Moon falls from your Moon sign.

None of these tools store the birth details you enter.

When time is uncertain

Birthplace selection supplies coordinates and a time zone, and historical clock changes are applied for your date. If an exact time falls in a clock-change gap or overlap, we tell you and ask for a valid time rather than guess. For approximate or unknown times, houses are counted from the Moon sign and the ascendant is withheld, and the reading says so.

Birthplaces and their time zones come from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0 licence): over 34,000 cities and towns worldwide.

How readings are written

The free reading combines your calculated placements with explanations of traditional symbolism. Premium reports and answers to your questions are automated interpretations, in English or Hindi: prepared with AI assistance and checked by our quality system.

Every reading passes multi-layer quality assurance before you see it: what it says about your grahas, signs and houses is accuracy-checked against your chart, and claims of certainty, fear-based language and medical or financial promises are refused. A report that does not pass is not delivered. There are no human astrologers or fabricated experts.

What is shared, and when

Free tools calculate on our servers and do not store what you enter. When a reading or report is written with the help of AI, the details it needs — your calculated chart and, for a paid report, the name and birth details on it — are sent to our AI service providers, who are located outside India. Payments, hosting and email use their own providers. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is shared, why, and your choices.

A lens, not a verdict

Astronomical positions are calculable. Their astrological meanings are interpretive traditions, not scientifically established predictions. Use a reading for reflection, and keep medical, legal, financial and mental-health decisions grounded in professional advice and your actual circumstances.
